Born in Miami. Grew up in Memphis. Came to Chicago for law school and built a practice in the courts that matter most.
Logan C. Bierman is a Chicago criminal defense attorney admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2019, the Northern District of Illinois Trial Bar in 2020, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in 2025. Federal judges in the Northern District of Illinois appointed him to the CJA Panel — a qualification requiring a direct judicial recommendation and demonstrated federal court competence. He co-authored Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE) reference chapters on criminal defense and expungement in 2024 and 2025. He practices criminal defense directly, and DUI, traffic, and personal injury law as an attorney with Driver Defense Team.
Logan Bierman graduated cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2019. While still a student, he worked at the Criminal Defense Clinic under Professor Daniel Coyne, assisting in three jury trials, litigating two bench trials, and practicing under a Supreme Court Rule 711 license.
His first post-graduate position was at a Chicago criminal defense firm, where he developed an unusual specialty: defending individuals facing indefinite civil commitment under Illinois mental health statutes — quasi-criminal proceedings governed by expert psychiatric testimony. In his first year, he secured three not-guilty jury verdicts.
Since 2021, Logan has handled a complex caseload of state and federal felony matters: felony jury trials, dispositive motion practice, sentencing hearings, and appeals. Federal judges in the Northern District of Illinois appointed him to the CJA Panel — a qualification requiring demonstrated federal court competence and a direct judicial recommendation.
In 2024 and 2025, Logan co-authored two chapters for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE), the primary reference resource Illinois practitioners use for authoritative guidance on state law: criminal record relief, and defending criminal cases through trial, sentencing, and appeal.
Logan now practices criminal defense directly, and practices DUI, traffic, and personal injury law as an attorney with Driver Defense Team's dedicated driving-law and injury teams, serving drivers across Illinois.
“Every client deserves a direct, honest answer about where they stand. That’s what this practice is built on.”
