Logan's primary Lake County assignment at Driver Defense Team is the Criminal Court Tower in Waukegan — 19th Judicial Circuit. If you have a DUI, felony, or traffic matter in Waukegan, Winthrop Harbor, Zion, North Chicago, Waukegan, Round Lake, Gurnee, Vernon Hills, Libertyville, or Mundelein, this is your courthouse.
The 2nd Municipal District in Skokie handles criminal and traffic cases from Evanston, Skokie, Wilmette, Winnetka, Glenview, Northbrook, and surrounding north suburban communities. Attorneys who appear there daily know the local judges, prosecutors, and procedures — a real advantage in any case.
The George N. Leighton Criminal Courthouse at 26th Street and California Avenue is where all Chicago felony criminal cases are tried. It's one of the highest-volume felony courthouses in the United States. Experience at 26th & Cal — knowing how bond hearings, preliminary hearings, and trial calls actually run there — matters in ways that reading the rules doesn't capture.
DuPage County (Wheaton) has its own local court customs and a reputation for stricter enforcement in traffic and DUI matters. If you're charged in Wheaton, Naperville, Lombard, Glen Ellyn, Downers Grove, Lisle, or Elmhurst, knowing the 18th Judicial Circuit's local rules is essential.
The Dirksen U.S. Courthouse at 219 S. Dearborn is home to the Northern District of Illinois, one of the most active federal prosecutorial districts in the country. Federal cases — drug trafficking, firearms charges, fraud, RICO — require separate federal court admission, federal sentencing guideline experience, and ideally a CJA Panel appointment. Logan holds all three.
